A custom award can encompass many designs and specifications, each with its potential solution. We can do a semi-custom piece in many scenarios, combining a custom part with a stock design - this includes cases where we cut a custom acrylic shape or mount a custom medallion on a stock item. Whatever you decide on, we can create it.


As with any custom project, we need to know specific details in order to produce a custom award. Details such as budget, quantity, and desired arrival date help speed the process along. Custom awards, by nature, take time to create, but by knowing certain information up front we can get your awards as quickly as possible!

Step-by-Step Guide to Ordering Custom Awards

  • 1) Decide Level of Customization

    Awards that are 100% custom have larger upfront costs and minimums and longer than normal lead times to consider.

  • 2) Establish Parameters

    We'll discuss the project's parameters, such as materials, styles, graphics, colors, occasion, etc.


    Some common questions to help start the brainstorming:


    • Crystal, Acrylic, or Wood?
    • Desk or Wall Style?
    • Yearly Award or One-Time Presentation?
    • Specific Color on Graphics or Award Itself?
    • Any Similar Awards You want to Use as Starting Point?


  • 3) Design Custom Piece

    Once all details and parameters are set, our graphic artists will begin to work on a design and send it to you.


    The first design is always rough; we will continue collaborating with you to zero in on the final iteration.


    Once the design is set, we will send a more complete design that will have sizing and colors.

  • 4) Approval & Production

    Once the final design is approved, we will begin production on a prototype of the award.


    Once the prototype is approved, we will begin production on the final awards.

  • 5) Time Frames of Custom Awards

    These are the basic time frames for truly custom productions:


    • Acrylic Shapes: Laser cut out of acrylic sheets, and can be produced in 2-4 weeks for average quantities.
    • Custom Wood: Various shapes, wood types, custom frames, or boxes take 4-8 weeks (dependent on quantity).
    • Coins & Lapel Pins: New orders take 5 weeks, reorders of same design take 3 weeks.
    • Custom Crystal: Air freight takes 4-5 weeks, ocean freight takes 8-12 weeks.*
    • Resin & Metal Castings: 8-16 weeks, depending on complexity.**

    *All custom glass and crystal are made overseas

    **Castings require sculpting for full 3D art
